Lisanne McDearman

Lisanne is a New Orleans native who moved to Atlanta after earning a BS in Accounting from Tulane University. While in college she consecutively served as social chair for her sorority, Chi Omega. She quickly involved herself in the Atlanta community by volunteering through the Junior League and currently serves as their chairperson for Project Open Hand. Having a fondness for Europe, she joined Alliance Francais to continue her study of the French language and has organized several weddings in France.

Watermark Weddings is an Atlanta based wedding planning, designing and coordinating company that was founded in New Orleans in 1994 by Lisanne McDearman. What began with just one person quickly developed into a multi-person team, which is a huge benefit to you. It allows us to quickly handle your daily wedding consulting requests, engage in very thorough planning with your vendors and gives you the comfort of knowing that the most important day of your life is not in just one person's hands.

We are licensed and insured and are actively involved in several professional organizations including National Association of Catering Executives, International Special Events Society, Professional Wedding Guild of Atlanta, French-American Chamber of Commerce, Practical Guide to Event Planning Group and Alliance Francaise (the French Alliance). Our participation in these professional organizations allows us to keep apprised of important current information and the latest developments in the domestic and destination wedding industries. Janice Blackmon

Janice is an Atlanta native who spent several years in Sarasota, Florida. She earned a degree in both Occupational Therapy and Music at Manatee College in Bradenton, Florida. Janice has coordinated many weddings both in Florida and Georgia and her attention to detail and calm demeanor when dealing with stressful situations makes her a valuable asset in coordinating weddings.

Kelli Collins
Wedding Consultant

Kelli is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While at UTC, Kelli was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, serving on the Social Committee and also as Music Chairperson. She has an extensive background in customer service and was a member of the Chattanooga Girls Choir for eight years touring with them throughout Great Britain, Italy, and the United States. Kelli has a wonderful knack for wedding planning – wedding professionals and Brides alike just love her easy going nature and professionalism.

Allison Hicks

Allison Hicks is an Atlanta native who earned her BA in Arts Management from the College of Charleston. Allison grew up performing in many ballet productions before deciding to do behind the scenes work. She has worked with numerous festivals and special events in Charleston, South Carolina and has also coordinated many of the events herself. Allison enjoys spending her time working with arts related organizations and animals. Allison is extremely organized and is always remarkably collected even under the most difficult of situations – she is a true pro.

Adrienne King

Adrienne graduated from The University of Georgia with a BBA in Management Information Systems. While attending college, Adrienne was an active member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She was elected Social Chair and Assistant Philanthropy Chair. She was also on The University of Georgia club soccer team. Adrienne is still actively involved in her sorority today, participating in such events as Memory Walk to benefit Alzheimer’s disease. She has traveled throughout Europe including Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Adrienne is extremely detail oriented and organized, which makes for a great wedding consultant.

Sonya Hanafi

An Atlanta native, Sonya left Georgia to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her BS in Biology and BA in Psychology. As a student Sonya was very active in her sorority, Kappa Delta, serving as social chair and formal events coordinator. Her experience in event planning was further supplemented by her work with charity organizations, annually co-chairing a volunteer’s day event for a local senior center and more recently serving on the Junior Committee for Shepherd Spinal Center. In addition, Sonya possesses a solid background in hospitality experience. Having returned to Atlanta to pursue a Master’s degree at Emory University, Sonya hopes to direct her originality and diligence into making each wedding a breathtaking experience.

Andrea Raiford

Andrea is an Atlanta native, who graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management. Through her experiences with the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics and the Georgia State Games she honed her event management skills, but soon realized her passion for more elegant and meaningful events after assisting with the weddings of numerous family and friends. She is dedicated to organization and detail, and strives to make every event a memory in the making.

Evan Bernstein

Evan, a native of Athens, Georgia, earned a BA in Counseling Psychology and a Masters in Education and Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Georgia. He is well acquainted with the special events industry in Atlanta and donates a substantial amount of his free time helping plan fundraisers for charitable organizations including "Uncork a Cure" and "AID Atlanta". Evan and Lisanne met through a caterer with whom they were mutually acquainted. His creative talent, fun-loving spirit and attention to detail quickly prompted Lisanne to ask Evan to join Watermark Weddings. Evan regularly travels to South America where he has the opportunity to exercise his fluency in Spanish.

Sarah Brunn

Sarah has lived in Atlanta, GA for the last seven years. During that time, she attended the University of Georgia in Athens graduating with a B.A. in History, and a minor in Art History. At UGA, Sarah was an active member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority where she served as the Recruitment Committee Chair, House Manager, and Public Relations Chair. She was involved in PRSSA as Fundraising Chair and planned events benefiting non-profit organizations in Athens. She was also a member of IABC, Creative Consultants, and Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization. During her free time Sarah is a provisional member of the Junior League of Atlanta, attends Buckhead Church, and enjoys playing tennis. Sarah's organizational skills, attention to detail, and outgoing personality make every event she plans successful.

Kesha Nettles

Kesha is an Atlanta native who graduated from The Lovett School and earned her BBA in Management Information Sciences at Southern Methodist University. While attending SMU, Kesha was actively involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. were she chaired several committees and served as treasurer for her chapter. Through her experiences in corporate America, Kesha sharpened her ability to facilitate effective events. She realized her desire to transition to social events after planning various functions for many volunteer organizations. These events taught her that attention to detail is the key to a spectacular affair. Kesha ensures that each client has a wonderful experience.
