Watermark Weddings is an Atlanta based wedding planning, designing and
coordinating company that was founded in New Orleans in 1994 by
Lisanne McDearman. What began with just one person rapidly developed
into a multi-person team. Our team can quickly handle your consulting
requests, engage in very thorough planning with your vendors and give
you the comfort of knowing that the most important day of your life is not
in just one person's hands. We are licensed and insured.

Lisanne is a New Orleans native who moved
to Atlanta after earning a BS in Accounting
from Tulane University. While in college she
consecutively served as social chair for her
sorority, Chi Omega. She quickly involved
herself in the Atlanta community by volunteering
through the Junior League, the DAR and Colonial Dames.
Having a fondness for Europe, she joined
Alliance Francais to continue her study of the
French language and has organized several
weddings in France.
Katie is an Atlanta native who earned a BA in English Literature at the University of Georgia. After spending 18 months studying French language and culture in Paris, she returned to the States and joined the Watermark team in 2001. Katie’s hobbies include travelling, reading and spending time with her husband and
two young children.

Kesha is an Atlanta native who graduated from The Lovett School
and earned her BBA in Management Information Sciences at
Southern Methodist University. While attending SMU, Kesha was
actively involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority where she
chaired several committees and served as treasurer for her chapter.
Through her experiences in corporate America, Kesha sharpened
her ability to facilitate effective events. She realized her desire to
transition to social events after planning various functions for
many volunteer organizations. These events taught her that attention
to detail is the key to a spectacular affair. Kesha ensures that each
client has a wonderful experience.

Andrea is an Atlanta native, who graduated from Georgia Southern
University with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management. Through
her experiences with the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics and the
Georgia State Games she honed her event management skills, but soon
realized her passion for more elegant and meaningful events after
assisting with the weddings of numerous family and friends. She is
dedicated to organization and detail, and strives to make every event
a memory in the making.
Shelby was born and raised in Alpharetta, GA, but currently lives in Atlanta
attending the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and certificates in Entrepreneurship
and Social Psychology. As a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, she has held multiple positions,
such as technology chair, family relations chair, recruitment day chair, and she is presently serving
as the assistant recruitment
chair. Her experience in event planning, attention to detail,
creativity, and passion are what led her to becoming part of the Watermark Weddings team.
Janel moved to Atlanta five years ago after earning a BA in Communications
from Alabama State University. While working at a marketing and
advertising firm she has sharpened her event planning skills by
planning numerous special events and promotional campaigns for her
clients. After realizing that event planning was her passion, she
attended Georgia Perimeter College and earned an Event Planning
Certificate. Janel is organized, creative and truly dedicated to
orchestrating all of the details to make an event memorable.
Macie is an Atlanta native who graduated from Auburn University in 2006 with a BA in French. While at Auburn she was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta. Macie is
a member of the Junior League of Atlanta; she is currently serving as the JLA Ball Chair Elect with past positions as the Events Coordinator for
the Fund Development Team and the Community Events Director for the Community Council.
Karen is a South Florida native who graduated from Valdosta State University
with a BFA in Speech Communication. While attending VSU, she was an active member of Chi
Omega Sorority serving as Pan-Hellenic Delegate and Vice President for her chapter.
Through her experiences and involvement in the Greek community she was awarded
Outstanding Greek Achiever and VSU's Who's Who Among Students. Karen's interest
in event planning was solidified after organizing several events for her sorority,
for VSU and for VSU's dining services, Sodexo. Karen's organizational skills,
determination, and creativity will make a wedding beautiful, successful and a
memory to last a lifetime.
Carlie is an Atlanta native who graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a BA in Studio Art. Carlie acted as a founding sister for the Eta Mu chapter of Kappa Delta sorority at Georgia College and State University. There, she assisted in establishing the chapter’s focus on leadership and community service. Carlie has previous experience managing events, working closely with venues and event vendors. This experience has helped further develop her skills in event planning. Her professionalism, creativity, and desire to please all make her a great asset to the Watermark Weddings team.
Allison, an Indiana native, moved to Atlanta shortly after graduating from Tulane University where she received a double-major in English and Gender Studies. While in college, Ali served as the Vice President of Recruitment for Tulane’s Panhellenic Council. Additionally, she chaired several university events such as the Newcomb College Institute’s little sister mentor program as well as Tulane’s Take Back the Night fundraiser benefiting the New Orleans Women’s Shelter. These positive experiences have solidified Ali’s love for coordinating events. After assisting several friends with their weddings, Ali is excited to pursue a career as an Atlanta wedding planner. She is delighted to join the Watermark Weddings team and ensures that each wedding feels personal and memorable.
